• Is Torre-Pacheco a resort town?

  No, and that is the point of it. It is a working Murcian agricultural centre with its own market, schools and year-round population, with golf and residential development attached to the edges. Buyers who want a Spanish town that carries on in February usually prefer this to the coastal strip.

  Ten to fifteen minutes by car to the Mar Menor shore at Los Alcázares or Los Nietos, depending where in the municipality you are. There is no walkable beach. Anyone who wants to leave the car at home should be looking at Los Alcázares or San Pedro del Pinatar instead, and paying for it.
