Los Montesinos is a small inland town in the Vega Baja, ten minutes from Torrevieja and fifteen from the coast, notable in our books for one reason: it is the only place we cover where almost everything is a house. Seventeen of the eighteen listings we hold here sit on their own plot.

Yes, and a young one: it separated from Almoradí in the 1990s and has a few thousand residents, a square, a market and a school. There is an international minority but no resort development, and Spanish is the everyday language of the centre.
