Guardamar del Segura is the town with the pine forest. Half a million trees were planted over the dunes in the nineteenth century to stop the sand burying the settlement, and the result is eleven kilometres of beach backed by woodland rather than by apartment blocks. Building heights are restricted, so nothing towers over it.
Our Guardamar stock runs from about €222,000 to €555,000, with the middle near €315,000 and roughly €3,700 per square metre. It is almost entirely apartments, twenty-six of twenty-seven, sized between 64 and 144 m². Two-bedroom outnumbers three-bedroom by about three to two.
If a detached house is the requirement, this is the wrong town for our books: we hold exactly one. Ciudad Quesada or Algorfa, both fifteen minutes inland, carry far more.

Yes, by regulation. Height limits kept the tower development that shaped Torrevieja and Benidorm out of Guardamar, so the skyline stays under the treeline. It is the practical reason the town feels quieter than its neighbours at the same distance from Alicante.
Can I buy a house in Guardamar?
Rarely through us. Twenty-six of the twenty-seven listings we hold here are apartments. The municipality has houses, but they seldom reach our books at this price. Buyers who want a plot usually look fifteen minutes inland at Ciudad Quesada, Algorfa or Benijófar, all of which carry more.
How far is Guardamar from Alicante airport?
Roughly 25 to 30 minutes by car, which makes it one of the closest coastal towns to Alicante-Elche. That proximity, combined with the beach and the forest, is why it holds its value better in winter than resorts an hour further south.
Is Guardamar quiet in summer?
Quieter than Torrevieja or Orihuela Costa, but it is a real beach town in August and fills up. The forest and the length of the beach spread people out, so it rarely feels crowded in the way a compact resort front does. Out of season it is genuinely still.
