Pilar de la Horadada is the last town in Alicante province before the Murcian border, which matters more than it sounds: it sits inside the Costa Blanca for administrative purposes while being closer to Murcia's airport than to Alicante's. Its coast is a string of small beaches, Torre de la Horadada and Mil Palmeras among them, backed by low-rise development rather than towers.
