San Miguel de Salinas is a hill village inland from Torrevieja, high enough that much of it looks down over the salt lakes and, on clear days, out to the sea beyond. It is a genuine Spanish town with a Sunday market rather than a development, and the price of the view is that you are twenty minutes from the beach.
